MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Thirty-four percent of those polled across Russia in May 28-29 named terrorism as their biggest concern, despite only one percent reporting having first-hand experience.
Fears of getting in a road accident or being defrauded of life savings in a scheme involving payment cards came second. They were named by 21 percent of respondents.
Russia held an international security conference last month that focused on terrorism. The country and its citizens were target of terror attacks in the past years, most recently when a Russian passenger plane was bombed on its way from Egypt last October, killing all 224 people on board.
