MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem will visit Russia next week to hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Wednesday.
"We are waiting for the confirmation. Next week, we expect productive and in-depth consultations between the ministers," Bogdanov told RIA Novosti.
According to Bogdanov, the talks will focus on fight against terrorism and the progress in political reconciliation on the basis of the Geneva Communique and Vienna agreements.
