RT correspondent Lizzie Phelan and her crew have come under shelling in the Syrian city of Harasta near Damascus, the television channel said Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The incident occurred when the crew was en route from Harasta to Jobar to film in the area.

"Just targeted by insurgent mortar in #Harasta #Damascus landed about 5metres away. We're out all fine," Lizzie Phelan wrote on Twitter.

According to the channel, it is yet unclear who initiated the mortar fire.
